The Kewaskum A's got a huge Rock River League win over the Brownsville 49ers on Saturday afternoon in Kewaskum.  The A's saw a 2-1 lead slip away in the 9th, but prevailed in 13 innings as Kurt Zagzebski drove in the winning run.  Brownsville wasted little time to score in this one though as James Goodfellow put the 49ers up 1-0 with a RBI single in the 1st inning.  The A's started off slowly thru three innings, but Garrick Day started the 4th off with a single and eventually came around to score on an Austin Sarauer RBI single to tie the game at one apiece.

The A's would take the lead in the 6th as Zagzebski delivered with a RBI single to make it 2-1.  This looked like it might be enough for A's starting pitcher Brad Young, who after yielding the single to Goodfellow in the 1st, retired 18 straight batters at one point.   However, as was the case last year between these two teams in their first meeting, Brownsville was able to tie the game with a two-out RBI single in the 9th to send the game to extra innings.

In extra innings, neither team put together much of anything until the 13th, when Kewaskum got something going.  With one out, Garrick Day reached via a single and advanced to second on a stolen base.  A bloop single put runners on the corners for Austin Sarauer who was intentially walked to load the bases.  This brought up Zagzebski who was able to drop in a well placed single to center give the A's the walk-off victory.

Despite a great performance on the mound, Young picked up the no-decision after tossing the first 10 innings (2 ER, 6 Hits, 8 K's), while Lucas Kopeschka pitched oustanding in relief (3IP, Hit, K) to pick up the win.  Zagzebski 3x6 (2 RBI's) , Day 2x5, and Austin Sarauer 2x5 led the A's at the plate.  The A's now stand at 9-1 (4-1 Rock River League) overall and have games this week Wednesday (@ Oshkosh), Thursday (@ West Bend) and Sunday (@ Kewaskum vs. Slinger).
